"Subtle Hint"

This piece I had worked on for just under two weeks, the color kept evading me as if the piece was challenging me to go further. I had to step away from it several times fearing that I might go to far,but knowing I had not gone far enough. The color revealed itself to me after many side strokes of color. What you and I have before us is truly a precious work of art my heart and soul comes out through this work

"Waking"

"Waking" Was hung in a home in Newport Beach, Ca. The piece was shown at Mammoth Lakes Labor art show for the first time and was taken home that weekend. It was the first of this style for me and I have continued to created pieces in this genre for the past two years. I love this style of work and I hope you enjoy the work as much as I do.

"Gathering"

I had just completed this piece and what had surprised me was the change of colors. The upper half of the work I used a color "copper patina" this was to give me green and aqua hues, and over night I got these hues of brown and tans. This was not intended to happen, and I have no idea why this occurred. I wish I did, I love the way the green and aqua peak through the mist. I thought of a Gathering storm looking out over a vista.

"Embrace"

So titled "Embrace" is the joining of 2 like souls.

"Shy Morning"

"Shy Morning" was based on one sunrise at Mono Lake, Ca.
I had taken a photo of the sunrise while driving so it was blurred and streaked.

"Incredible Play"

The work "Incredible Play" is in a lovely home in Truckee, Ca. It was created using found objects, 5 gallon buckets, plastic cups and 30" sonotube were used for the impressions. I've found our societies throw away's makes for great art and tells a story at the same time.

This piece was created with the Owens river in California in mind. It's serpentine meandering through the Owens Valley is captured in this piece.

Monday, January 4, 2010

This was installed over the holiday's. I was in Mammoth lakes for 2 weeks doing an art show. The people that purchased this piece I had met back in July and they had not seen the right art for their space. They happened to come by the show and this was perfect.
